Lynn Galbreath is a Detroit based artist who works in the mediums of oil paint, graphite, digital imaging, and mixed media. Galbreath has been the recipient of numerous awards including the Creative Artists’ Grant from the Arts Foundation
of Michigan and the Michigan Individual Artist Grant from Michigan Council For The Arts. Galbreath earned an MFA in Painting from Wayne State University, exhibits locally, nationally and internationally, and currently teaches drawing, painting, and graphic design at Oakland University. She has instructed at the University of Detroit School of Architecture, The College for Creative Studies, Wayne State University, Oakland Community College and Macomb Community College. Traveling to Italy, Spain, France, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, Austria, and the Czech Republic with students over the past eight years has played a key role in the current direction of the work. Galbreath also is very versed in the area of graphic design, with ten years of experience as lead Art Director for several national agencies.
